Continued from hereGiles raised his eyebrows as he watched Wesley. He knew the other man well enough to know when he wasn't trying to laugh. He could tell it in his eyes - they seemed to twinkle when Wesley was amused by something. "Well, I do suppose I shall think of a punishment for you. I do wonder if I brought any braces along with me," he murmured, remembering the time he'd spanked Wesley in the library using the other man's braces.A cheeky grin covered his face as he stood and stood behind Wesley, his eyes going wide. "What's that?" he asked pointing at one of the e-mails. "Who in the bloody hell is sending me e-mails about penile pumps?!" He then rolled his eyes. "I'm going to kill Xander when I see him again."There was a knock on the door, which meant the takeaway was there. "Print them out please," he said as he moved to the bedroom and quickly pulled on his trousers and shirt. Padding to the door, he opened it and paid for the food before bringing it over to the table. "You still have some braces, don't you?"
Raising his eyebrows, Wesley looked over at Rupert, hearing him muttering to himself but not quite making out everything he was saying. He heard punishment and braces, and suddenly found himself thinking about the times Rupert has used his braces on him during some of their more...playful moments together. For a moment, he was so caught up in the memory that he forgot what he was doing until he realized Rupert was standing behind him, asking about one of the e-mails on the screen. He cleared his throat and tried to concentrate. Until he read what the e-mail was about. Rupert's reaction made him want to laugh again, and since he knew he was in trouble anyway, he let out a snort. He wouldn't want to be Xander when Rupert got a hold of him. While his lover went to answer the door and get the food, Wesley printed out the e-mails although he simply moved the penile pump spam to the trash. Picking the pages up from the printer, he got up and took them over to the table, giving Rupert a grin as he sent them down."Oh, yes...I do believe the braces are in my closet even though I don't wear them much anymore." He coughed and picked up the carton with his food in it, sitting down in the chair next to Rupert. "I...erm...couldn't bring myself to part with them."
Giles looked down at the pages Wesley had printed out for him. He shook his head and sighed before taking a bite of his food. “Bloody Council,” he muttered as he waved his hands at the papers. “They need to confirm everything we do. If one of the Slayers needs a new pair of trainers, we have to ask for the board’s advice.” He shook his head and looked around for a pen, and when he couldn’t find one, he pushed the papers away from him.“I’ll sign them later,” he said, leaning back in his seat. His eyebrows rose when Wesley admitted to still having the braces. “I’ll have to use them on you then. Especially since you laughed at my e-mail troubles.” Leaning over, he softly kissed Wesley’s neck before going back to the food in front of him. Giles gave Wesley a look before trying to use the chopsticks that were in the bag. After a couple of attempts, he dropped them and went back to his fork.“As Fred tried to do any sort of experiments on the amulet? I know she has quite a bit of information in the files she gave me but most of it looks like jibberish to me,” he said as he glanced at his lover.
As he opened his carton of food, Wesley glanced over at the pages Rupert had set aside, shaking his head when he saw how anal the Board was being about accountability. Obviously, for all the good Rupert and the others had done, some things never changed."The Board still likes to play politics to keep control over certain Chairmen, I see," he said, shaking his head. He knew they had been the same way with Richard Giles, based on the way he had heard his father speak. "Perhaps you should tell them you had computer troubles and not send it back for a few days. That ought to get their collective knickers in a twist."As he dug into his food, he swallowed slightly when Rupert mentioned using the braces on him. The times he had used them on him before, they had ended up shagging quite...vigorously in the stacks of the library. Just the memory was enough to make Wesley twitch, and he had to take a deep breath. Christ, having Rupert there had certainly made him feel like a randy teenager. So he was actually a bit thankful when he asked him about Fred's experiments. "She's done a few as well as taken readings on Spike. She says there's no ectoplasm matrix, so if he's a ghost, we shouldn't be able to see him. He's also warm, and - as impossible as it seems - there's detectable brain wave activity from him. As for the amulet, whatever metal it's made out of, it's very old, probably ancient and demonic in origin. It's impervious to X-rays, and however, the magic works, it's well hidden."He sighed and shook his head. "Somehow, I have a feeling that it's going to be damn near impossible to figure that thing out through experiments and tests unless we do find something in the books."
Giles smirked at Wesley's idea. Perhaps he would tell the Council he had computer problems and make them wait for the signed documents. They were always making him wait for things. With an innocent look, he 'accidentally' knocked his glass of water over onto the papers. "Suppose I won't be signing those anytime soon," he said with a grin. He stood from the table and went to the kitchen to retrieve a towel. When he came back out, Giles cleaned up the mess he'd made before sitting back down. He then listened to Wesley explain to him what Fred had found out about Spike. "So he really isn't a ghost then," he determined. Furrowing his brow, he shook his head. "It's almost as if he's existing on this plane when he shouldn't be. And it's obvious the amulet is mystical in nature, but the magic is either quite old and only known by certain people, or its new," he said, shaking his head."The books do look like our last hope. In the morning I'll call my contact here in Los Angeles. He might know of some books that might be helpful," Giles said as he finished off his food. After wiping his mouth off, he glanced over at Wesley. "Perhaps we should just tell Fred we need a bit more time and we couldn't finish our research tonight."
Raising his eyebrows in amusement, Wesley watched as the water Rupert had just knocked over spread across the papers. "Pity that," he said with a mock sigh. "And I do believe my printer is going to be out of commission for a few days. So sorry."Once the papers and water had been cleared away and dumped in the rubbish bin, they forgot about the Council, as he was sure the Council would be glad to forget about Rupert if they could. They focused instead on the situation with Spike, trying to figure out what could be happening. It seemed they had plenty of theories, but no concrete proof or textual evidence to back any of it up."Given the age of the metal in the amulet, I would say it's very, very old. Seems that it would have to be in order to be a weapon that could be used against something like the First," Wesley remarked. He looked over at his bag, thinking about the source book inside. "I do wish that source book could call up an book in the world, not just the books in my vault at the office."With a sigh, he looked back at Rupert and nodded his head in agreement at his plan for the morning. "Fred knows how difficult this kind of research can be, so hopefully, she should understand." He took one last bite of his food and then stood, gathering up the empty cartons and tossing them in the bin before returning to Rupert. He held out his hand and drew him up from his chair. "It's been quite a day, hasn't it? Maybe we should head to bed. Get an early start and see where we can go with a fresh perspective on things."Giving him a smile, he then gave him a kiss.
Giles hoped Wesley was right. From what he'd seen of Fred, and how she'd told Knox off, he didn't want to get on her bad side. But Wesley knew her better than he did so he trusted what his lover had to say. "Perhaps in the morning we can have a quick meeting with her and see if she can maybe explain her research a bit better," he said with a small smile. "She reminds me a lot of Willow."Taking Wesley's hand, Giles stood and nodded his head. He was still feeling a bit tired from his trip from England and thought sleeping was a good idea. "I'm feeling a bit knackered," he commented before Wesley started to kiss him. He returned it and slowly deepened it. When they parted, Giles grinned at him. "I'm going to have to start working out again just to keep up with you, love."The two walked to the bedroom and Giles removed his clothes so all he had on were his boxers. He climbed into the bed and took his glasses off before snuggling against Wesley. "Goodnight, my love," he whispered before falling into a peaceful sleep.
"She is a bit like Willow," Wesley told Rupert with a grin. "Although more into science than magic. A meeting with her would probably be a very good idea, though. We'll go see her once we get into the office in the morning."When they parted after their kiss, he chuckled at Rupert's comment that he'd need to start working out again. "You're more in shape than a lot of people I know, love," he told him. "Comes from working with Slayers, I would imagine. Never realized what hard work that was until I was sent to Sunnydale and tried to train Faith."In the bedroom, he paused for a moment, appreciate the view as Rupert removed his clothes. His lover definitely had a very nice body, if he did say so himself. He knew, though, that he couldn't let his body run away with itself. They needed to get some sleep, especially Rupert, considering the day he had had. So he simply stripped off his own clothes, dumping them into his hamper, and then joined him on the bed, wrapping his arms around him.It had been a while since he had shared a bed with anyone overnight. It felt nice, especially since it was Rupert. Closing his eyes, he smiled to himself, thinking how amazing well this day had turned out after having worried so much about it to begin with. Now, he wouldn't trade a moment of it for the world."Goodnight, Rupert."
Giles didn't feel right in doing it. He was stepping off a Wolfram and Hart owned jet and was about to step into one of their limos. The firm was evil, something that had been imbedded in his head for as long as he could remember. But now he was practically working there. Part of him knew it was worth it though because he was able to be with Wesley, and there was a chance he could make a difference there.Getting into the limo, he sighed as it started to move. He had finally decided to hand over his position to Peter, knowing he wanted to stay with Wesley. The board had been persistent about Giles coming to England to do it. He figured it was better that way since it meant he could pack up some of his things. But being away from Wesley for almost a week was hard.Once his personal things were packed, they were sent to Wesley's flat in Los Angeles with help from the firm. Giles had his meeting with the board, transferred his position, and said goodbye to Buffy and the rest of them. And now the limo he was in was pulling into the parking garage at Wolfram and Hart.He barely waited for it to stop before jumping out and going to the lift. He rode it up to Wesley's floor and hurried to his office. Not bothering with knocking he went in and smiled. "Hello, love," he said, closing the door behind him. Giles stepped forward and dropped a paper bag on Wesley's desk. "Jaffacakes and a few tins of that licorice you liked so much. I missed you."
Sighing, Wesley put aside another translation and rubbed the back of his neck, sitting back. It had been just a week since Rupert had gone back to England to take care of handing over chairmanship of the Council to Peter, but it seemed so much longer. Of course, quite a lot had happened in that time - werewolves, vengeful ghosts - but mainly, it was his lover's absence was making it seem so long. And starting to grate if the small tiff he had had in the lab over the neural-intercept grenade was anything to go by. He hadn't been in the mood to deal with Fred's over-enthusiastic git of an assistant, so he hadn't minced his words when Knox had tried to lay the blame on him for the payload not working. Luckily, Lorne had come in and broken things up, but then again, what he had to say hadn't been quite what Wesley wanted to deal with either. He had just looked at the clock, trying to remember when Rupert was supposed to be arriving back when suddenly the door opened, and his lover walked in. A big smile crossed his face as Rupert dropped a bag in front of him."My three favorite things - jaffa cakes, licorice and Rupert," he said, standing up and pulling Rupert closer, not caring if anyone saw them. He had been dealing with enough taunting from Spike to even care anymore. "God, are you a sight for sore eyes, love."Pressing closer, he gave him a long kiss, feeling himself humming happily against Rupert's lips."Feel good too. After dealing with werewolves, ghosts and shifted-existence vampires, I definitely needed to be able touch you again," he told him.
Giles groaned into the kiss, his arms wrapping around the other man. He wanted nothing more than to knock everything off Wesley's desk and shag his senseless. Just the thought made his stir and he broke the kiss so he wouldn't be tempted to. He didn't think Wesley would want to be caught having sex on his desk."I missed you terribly," he whispered as he traced his fingers over Wesley's neck. He then realized what Wesley had said before they started to snog. "Werewolves? What have you been getting yourself into, love?" He stepped back and leaned against Wesley's desk and waited for the other man to tell him.Suddenly, Wesley's door opened again and Lorne rushed in. "You two have to help me! I'm having a Halloween party and I need you to show up! It's dying out there!" the demon said."Oh, I don't know...I was hoping to spend some time with Wesley and--""Wes?" Lorne said, looking at him. "Be a friend and get your stuffy boyfriend to come to the party with you!"
Moving to hitch himself on the edge of the desk besides Rupert, Wesley shook his head at his question. "Not so much what I've been getting myself into as what's been finding us. Angel was protecting a young woman named Nina, who was attacked by a werewolf. She was then targeted by one of those gourmet delicacy groups they told up about during the Watchers Academy because they wanted werewolf for this month's meal."Wesley shook his head, realizing how ridiculous and silly what he was talking must have sounded. "Managed to save her although she'll still have to deal with the monthly transformation. Then Spike was--."He didn't get a chance to finish, though, thanks to Lorne's rather ill-timed entrance. Sighing, he looked at his friend, wanting to tell him to just bugger off."Lorne, for one, my boyfriend is not stuffy, and for two, we wouldn't be any fun at your party. Rupert just got home from England, and I've been translating all day.""All the more reason to have some fun!" Lorne insisted. "Come on, guys!""Lorne, we--."But Lorne was already heading for the door. "Get your tuchises out there! And get some costumes. I can't let this party be ruined, not with the archduke attending."With that, he left, and Wesley looked over at Rupert for a moment. "I think Lorne has a costume closet next to his office for when they film in the studio."
Giles didn't want to go to some bloody party. He wanted to take his boyfriend home and shag him senseless on every surface of the flat. Turning, he looked at Wesley, hoping he could take some sense into Lorne. But the demon suggested they get costumes and he felt a smile lift on his face."Really? Well, lead the way then," Giles said. He followed Wesley out of his office and down to where Lorne stored his costumes. He looked through the selection and smiled when he found a purple suit, complete with a hat and cane. "I think I'll wear this one. I can be a pimp."Giles then looked through the closet some more and found a red dress. Holding it up to Wesley, he grinned. "And you can be my, um, lady friend," he said with a grin.
In the costume closet, Wesley started looking through the racks, wondering what he could wear. He wasn't completely sure why he was so enthusiastic about wearing a costume, but he couldn't help it. This would be fun, he decided, especially since Rupert was going to be wearing one as well.Glancing over at his lover, he grinned when he saw the purple suit that he had pulled out. It looked like something that Lorne would feel comfortable wearing, but he decided not to say that, to either of them. "Bloody good idea," he said, rather amused that Rupert was going to be walking around with a cane after the conversation they had the first day they had got back together. Then Rupert pulled out the red dress and held it up to him, and Wesley shrinked back a bit. "Ohh, no. I'm not wearing that! I'm not a lady, and I'm certainly not your lady friend," he protested, holding his hands up as if he could ward off the red frock. "Why are we even agreeing to this anyway? This is so silly; I mean, wearing a costume..."Suddenly, he trailed off and looked at the dress again, then reached out and took it from Rupert. He then started looking through everything on the top of the racks. "Is there a wig? I'd look pretty silly in this with my short hair--a ha!"With a grin, he pulled a wig of long, black hair out.
"Come now, Wesley," Giles said, holding the dress up. "You'll look quite beautiful in this dress. I'll be the luckiest man at the party." A grin spread across his face when Wesley finally agreed to wear the dress. Then he watched as his lover as he looked for a wig, smiling when he found one. "Brilliant, love."Taking Wesley's hand, Giles led him back to Wesley's office. "We should get dressed in out costumes now. We don't want to miss the best part of the party!" Taking his suit, Giles went to the back of Wesley's office and quickly changed. When he was finished, he walked out and modeled it for the other man."Do I look like a pimp, love?" he asked, turning around to show off his new purple suit. He tapped the cane on the floor and grinned at his lover.
When they returned to his office, Wesley shut the blinds on the window to give themselves a bit of privacy while they changed. He then set the dress and wig on the table and began pulling off his shoes, socks and trousers, all the while glancing over at Rupert, who was changing in the back of the office. The dim light made it hard to see him until he walked out from behind the desk, wearing the purple suit.Wesley found himself grinning broadly. "You look very much the part, love," he told him as he pulled off his shirt. He then smiled and reached out to touch the suit. "Hmmm...feels nice."Looking at the dress, he picked it up and slipped if over his head, part of him still not believing that he was doing this, but feeling that he had to. Once he had the dress on, he slipped the wig over his head, shaking the curls out slightly so they fell over his shoulders."I do believe I'm the bearded lady," he said with a snort, just as there was a knock at the door. A moment later, Fred came in."Wesley, sorry, I was just wondering if--." She suddenly stopped and stared at them, her eyes wide. "Oh my god, what are the two of you wearing?"
Giles tipped his hat at Wesley and smirked as he twirled his cane around. He was rather good at and it had to be his years of sword training. Perhaps after the party he could go down to the red district of Los Angeles and show off his new skills. Turning, he watched Wesley get ready and grinned."You look rather stunning, my love," Giles said. He went over to Wesley and straightened at his wig and smirked at his bearded lady comment. "You'd make a lovely sideshow freak." He was looking him over when Fred walked in and he looked over at her."We're going to Lorne's party," Giles said with a smile. He then looked at Wesley again before looking at Fred. "Since you're a woman, Fred, perhaps you could do his makeup for him?""Um, well, okay," Fred said as she looked from Wesley to Giles.Giles grinned and walked over to wear his clothes laid. He found his socks and walked over to Wesley. "You need some cleavage, Wesley. No lady friend of mine is going to be flat as a board," he said as he started to stuff the socks into the dress.
At Rupert's sideshow freak comment, Wesley was about to make a comment about purple suits and clowns but was distracted by Fred's arrival...especially when Rupert asked her to do his make-up."Really, I don't think that's necessary," he tried to say, but Fred was already rooting around in her handbag, pulling out blush, lipstick and other things. Then Rupert said he needed cleavage and started to stuff the socks into his dress. "Rupert, really! I think the dress is quite enough!"He tried to squirm away, but soon he was outnumbered two-to-one, and Rupert was holding him while Fred started applying make-up."You know, this would be a lot easier if you didn't have this beard of yours," Fred said as she put blush on his cheeks."I like my beard!" Wesley insisted."Yeah, but it makes you look a bit funny as a woman.""Well, I'm not a woman, am I?"Suddenly, the door opened, and the three of them froze. "Holy mother of hannah, what are the three of you doing?" Lorne asked. Before Wesley could explain, though, he continued, "You're supposed to be out at the party."Wesley glanced over at Fred and Rupert, then down at himself, suddenly feeling a bit self-conscious. "Well...""I'd sorta kinda wanted to go to the--," Fred started to say."Okay, you three, loosen up and go out to the party! I worked hard, and I want people to have a good time, damn it." With a frustrated growl, he stormed out of the room.
Giles shook his head as Wesley tried to squirm his way out of getting his makeup done. “Oh, do stop complaining. You’re lucky I’m not making you shave your legs,” he said, shaking his head. With a smirk, he looked at Wesley. “I think I’m going to call you Wendy for the rest of the night.” He giggled a little and patted Wesley on the ass. When Lorne walked in and told them they had to go out there, Giles’ eyes widen. He was under the impression they only had to wear costumes and laze about Wesley’s office. “Uh, I don’t know Lorne...I thought we could...” Then the demon told them to loosen up and get out there, and Giles found himself nodding in agreement.“He’s right. We shouldn’t ruin his party by being wankers. We should be out there dancing! Come along now,” he said, leading the other two out of Wesley’s office. When they got to the dance floor, Harmony was in the middle of it, dancing in circles. Giles went out and started to dance like he had when he was a teenager. “Cool moves, Giles!” Harmony said, trying to mock the moves.Giles turned and looked at Fred and Wesley. “Are you two going to dance or just stand there?” he asked as he twirled his cane a bit.
Wesley was quite relieved that neither of them wanted him to shave - although the funny thing was that he knew if they had insisted, he would have done so. He wasn't sure why, but he would have. However, he had to poke back when Rupert said that he'd call him Wendy for the rest of the night. "If I'm Wendy, that means I'm going to call you 'Purple Pan'," he told him before Fred started to put lipstick on him. After Lorne had told them to loosen up and get out to the party, he and Fred exchanged shrugs and followed Rupert out into the lobby where the party was in full swing. Wesley wasn't sure what Lorne was getting uptight about - it seemed that things were going well, especially with Harmony leading the way on the dance floor. A moment later, Rupert was out there as well, dancing and twirling his cane."Shall we dance?" he asked Fred when Rupert asked if they were going to join them. She nodded, and soon the three of them were dancing, twirling around with each other and laughing like loons."Hey, doll, what's a bird like you--PERCY?!" Wesley turned around to see Spike standing there, staring at him with huge eyes. "Percy...you look beautiful, doll!"
When Spike walked up and hit on Wesley, Giles growled. "Stop hitting on my woman, Spike," he said, standing in front of Wesley. "Hey Rupes! Nice outfit! I wish I had your fashion sense," Spike said as he touched Giles' purple suit."Bugger off!""I'm being serious! Oh, look, it's Angel! Hey, Angel, love the hair," he said, walking off toward the other vampire."That was weird," Fred commented as she looked at Giles and Wesley. "Really weird.""What's that?" Giles asked as he started to dance again. He glared at a couple of guys that seemed to be checking Wesley out. No one was going to touch Wesley if he could help it."Spike being all happy and nice and positive," Fred said.Giles thought for a moment and then nodded. "You're right!" he said as he watched Angel sneak off with some blonde."Oh, there's Charles! Lets ask him!" Fred said, tugging on Giles and Wesley's hands.
"I'm not a woman!" Wesley tried to tell both Rupert and Spike, but neither of them seemed to hear him as Rupert was in the middle of telling Spike to bugger off, but Spike was...Wesley furrowed his brow. Something wasn't right about all this. He was standing there in a bloody dress and Spike was being...nice?But then they started dancing again, and Wesley just shrugged it off until Fred mentioned what he had noticed. Stopping again, he looked from his lover to his friend and back, happy that Rupert seemed to realize it too. He allowed Fred to pull him over toward Gunn, and when they reached him, he tapped on his shoulder."Gunn, have you noticed something weird going--?"Before he finished his question, Gunn turned around, and Wesley suddenly noticed that he had his trousers unzipped and was...urinating."Charles, you just peed on my feet. And I'm not wearing any shoes. Ew!" He jumped back and started wiping them on the carpeting.Gunn looked at him for a moment, then down at himself. "Well...that's weird. And you're wearing a dress. I'd say that's weird."Spike went by nearby, crowing about how great the party was, and Wesley looked over at Fred and Rupert."Okay, something is definitely wrong with this picture," she said."Me and Rupert wearing costumes. Us dancing. Spike beind nice, and Gunn...peeing on things? We...we almost seem to be under the effect of some kind of spell," Wesley agreed.
Giles allowed Fred to pull him over to Gunn. He'd only met the man one other time but knew Wesley and Fred had spent time with him. When they got over to him, and he turned around, Giles noticed his trousers were unzipped. That was odd. But not as odd as Gunn urinating on Wesley bare feet. "You're going to scrub those, love, even before you get into bed with me!" he said. They then heard Spike hollering about something and Giles shook his head. "Something is amiss!" he said, looking at the others. Spike wandered over to them, bopping his head to the music. "What has gotten into you?""Lorne told me to be more positive!" Spike said as he started to dance."Hey! He told us to loosen up!" Fred said."I don't think he told me to pee on things," Gunn said as he looked down at his trousers."Hey kiddies! Fab party, isn't it?" Lorne asked, walking over to them. All of them stared at Lorne and Giles grabbed him. "He did something to us!" he exclaimed."We should take him to Angel's office," Fred suggested.Giles led Lorne to Angel's office and all of them barged in. Angel popped up from behind the couch, naked. "Oh dear lord! Put some bloody clothes on your wanker!" Giles said, covering his eyes.
"Angel butt! I just saw Angel butt!" Fred said, closing her eyes and turning away toward Wesley and Giles.Spike walked right past them and flashed the thumbs up sign when he saw Angel and Eve together behind the sofa. "Hey, Angel's getting some! Good on you, mate!"This started a squabble between Spike, Gunn, Eve and Angel over what was wrong with all of them while Fred, Rupert and Wesley looked at each other then over at Lorne. "Stop! Stop! There's nothing wrong with any of you. At least not in 'lost your bloody mind' sense although I am seriously wondering about Angel there.""I'm not the one wearing a dress, Wes," Angel said, looking over at Eve and giving her a goofy grin before leaning over to make out with her again."Keep it in your pants, you two!" Fred said, causing them to jump apart for a moment before leaning back toward each other again. "Lorne, make them stop!"Lorne threw his hands up in a shrug. "This is crazy. I am not doing this. I would know if I was doing this. I don't even know what this is.""No, you've definitely been doing something to us," Wesley said. "You told us to get costumes, we did. Told us to loosen up, we did.""He told me to be positive!" Spike put in, jumping up and down to the music filtering in from the lobby."I did not tell Gunn to water the ferns!" Lorne insisted.
Giles kept his eyes shut because he did not want to see Angel naked. It was bad enough when the vampire had slept with his Slayer. Instead, he turned his back and listened to everyone bicker. He then noticed Gunn had wandered over to one of the statues in Angel's office and was urinating again. Shaking his head, he went over there and tol the man to tuck himself in and to stop it."Wait a minute!" Gunn suddenly said as he zipped himself up. "Lorne had his sleep removed!""I did not...well, okay, maybe I did but I had to!" Lorne said in defense of himself."Okay. Wes, Fred, and Giles? Go find Lorne's sleep. Lorne, stop telling people what do to. Gunn? Stop peeing on things, and Eve? We're going to have more sex," Angel said, falling behind the couch again."I'm not bloody taking orders from you!" Giles protested as he folded his arms over his chest."Come on," Fred said, tugging on Wesley and Giles' hands. "Lets go find his sleep."
"Come on, love," Wesley insisted, pulling on his arm as Fred took his other hand and leading him toward the door. He didn't bother to look back, really not wanting to see what Angel was doing to Eve. Not even wanting to think what he was doing to Eve.Thank God, the curse only applied to perfect happiness and not induced sex."So where are we going?" he asked as they made their way toward the stairs. As they went up, Wesley was very glad that he wasn't wearing the heels he had seen with the dress in the closet. Although he still needed to scrub his feet later. Several times."Psyche Component Storage Facility," Fred said. "It's near the lab. I'm pretty sure that's where they put everything that they pull out of people. They actually asked me if I wanted them to pull out my fear. Guess they thought I wouldn't do some things in the lab or something."She shuddered slightly and led them down a hall near the lab to a set of doors with restricted slapped across them. Inside, refrigeration cabinets lined the wall, all full of long vials."Lorne's sleep. Lorne's sleep," she said. "Where would Lorne's sleep be?"Wes looked at the cabinets. "No way we'll find it just looking. Perhaps there's a list somewhere that will tell where it is?"
Giles sneered at Wesley but followed Fred and him out anyway. As they walked down the hallway to the lab, he kept his arms crossed over his chest to show he wasn't happy about being bossed around by Angel of all people. When they got to the lab, he looked at all the cabinets."How about over there?" he asked, pointing to a red set of cabinets in the corner. He then went over and picked up a book. Opening it up, he looked up empathic demons. When he found the section, he read it over. "Oh, this isn't good," he said, shaking his head."What isn't?" Fred asked as she looked through the cabinet."When an empath demon doesn't sleep, it changes people's destinies and it'll eventually manifest," he said, looking up at Wesley and Fred."That doesn't sound good," Fred said before she pulled something out of the cabinet. "Found it! But how are we suppose to put it back inside of him?"
Wesley had seen the look Rupert shot him but ignored it since they had more pressing things to attend to, no matter his lover's view on Angel. Besides, he had also called him a lovely sideshow freak. In the storage facility, he looked around the room as Fred and Rupert found the listing book and found the location of Lorne's sleep. When Rupert read out what happened when an empath demon didn't sleep, though, Wesley looked up, his eyes wide. "Well, obviously, we're suffering through the first phase of that," he said, looked down at himself with a sigh. When Fred asked how they were putting Lorne's sleep back into him after she had pulled out the cannister, Wesley started looking around, pursing his lips. "Well, if they've taken it out, one would think they would have a delivery system for returning, either because the person needs it again or for transplant purposes."Suddenly, he noticed a gun-like contraption in a cabinet on the far side of the room and pulled it out. Taking it over to Fred, he took the cannister and slotted it into the holder on top of the gun. He then smiled at Rupert and Fred."I do believe I've found it," he told them before reaching out and taking his lover's hand. "Come on. Let's get this back into Lorne before something happens downstairs!"
Giles sat the book down and started to look around to find something to put Lorne's sleep back in. He was staring at a container that said "Kristina Miller's Sex Drive" when Wesley said he'd found something to help. Looking over at his lover, he saw the gun-like thing and nodded. "Good work, Wendy," he said before Wesley took his hand. The three of them hurried down the hallway and to the nearest lift. They pushed the button and waited. "Hope we aren't too late and Lorne hasn't manifested yet!" Fred said just as the lift dinged and the doors slid open. All of them stepped in and Giles hit the button for the lobby."Perhaps we should put the sleep in before we get to the lobby," Giles suggested.Fred nodded and within a matter of seconds had transferred the sleep to the gun-like device. She was finishing up when the door dinged and opened again. "What in--""What in the bloody hell is that?" Giles said, finishing Fred's sentence, when they saw a rather large version of Lorne smashing things up.
"I'm so glad you approve, Purple Pan," Wesley told his lover as they made their way to the lift down the hall from the storage facility. For some reason, it didn't occur to him to just go back the way they had come.Once they had got downstairs to the reception lobby, they stepped out into a full-blown melee. Wesley had to duck as something went flying over his head. He wasn't sure, but it might have been Angel. Looking over at the thing that had thrown him, he felt his jaw drop - something that rarely happened nowadays."I think we're witnessing Lorne's manifestation!" he said, pointing to the fact that Lorne was nearby, trying to stay out of the way. "Fred! Shoot Lorne!""Which one?!""The--our Lorne!"Fred immediately swung the gun toward Lorne and let off the shot, hitting him in the head. The demon looked at her for a moment, a shocked expression on his face, then dropped to the ground.A moment later, the big Hulk version of him disappeared, leaving the lobby in disarray.Wesley looked around, then stared down at what he was wearing. "Where the bloody hell are my regular clothes?"
Giles jumped around, laughed at Angel being thrown, and pointed Fred in the right direction. When she shot off the gun, he watched as Lorne hit the ground, and soon the other Lorne exploded into what seemed like confetti. Blinking, he turned and looked at Wesley. "Nice dress," he smirked before he caught a glimpse of what he was wearing. "Dear lord! We were under a spell."He turned and started toward Wesley's office, knowing that's where their clothes were at. Picking up his clothes, he looked at Wesley before he started to change. He was embarrassed more than anything and didn't want to face Wesley just yet, especially after what he'd said. After he had his regular clothes on, he turned and looked at Wesley."Sorry," he muttered as he looked down at his hands. "I-I...um...you aren't a sideshow freak, love. And I promise I'll make it up to you." He looked up at his lover and gave him a soft smile.
Wesley allowed Rupert to lead him into his office, very glad to find his clothes there. He could remember thinking that dressing up in the red costume was a great idea, but now, he couldn't imagine why in the world he could have thought such a thing. Parading around in women's clothing. He knew that it had been because of Lorne, but that didn't make it any easier to accept in hindsight, especially given some of the things that Rupert had said.He quickly stripped the dress off and balled it up. Part of him wanted to toss it in the bin, but it wasn't his, so he'd have to return it to the closet along with Rupert' suit. With a sigh, he folded it over the back of the chair. He'd do that tomorrow.Once he got his shoes on, he turned to Rupert, facing him as he apologize for what had had said, about to tell him that it was all right, all things considered. But then he mentioned making it up to him, and a slight smirk tugged at the corner of his lips. Reaching out, he wrapped his arms around his lover and pulled him closer."Well, I've been wanting to take you home and have you shag me since you walked though the office door earlier, but I think..." He paused for a moment, his eyebrows arching up his forhead. "It's been quite a tough week without you here, you know. A bit stressful. I think I'd quite also like a massage."
Giles smirked when Wesley pulled him closer and started to talk about shagging. Truth be told, he'd been wanting to shag Wesley senseless since walking into his office earlier, and the thought made his cock twitch in his trousers. Then Wesley raised his eyebrows and requested a massage, Giles smiled. "I think I can handle that, my love," he said with softly kissing Wesley's lips.He pulled back and took Wesley's hand. "Lets go home," he said, tugging on his lover's hand. He led him out of his office, and down the hallway to the lift. Giles stopped though when he saw Knox speaking to Fred and noticed how she didn't see too happy about him speaking to her."I think we have a problem," Giles said, dropping Wesley's hand. He walked over to where Fred was standing and stood beside her. "Is there a problem, love?""I...no," she quietly said.Knox smirked and looked Giles over. "Doesn't seem she wants to talk to you," he said before reaching over for Fred's arm. But before he could touch her, Giles quickly hit him and watched as he hit the floor."I don't think she wants to speak with you either."
When Rupert agreed to the massage, Wesley smiled, definitely ready to go home and spend time with his lover. After the night they had experienced and the week they had been forced to spend apart, they deserved the night alone. In fact, part of him thought that they probably deserved a whole week at the very least, to make up for the time, but at least they were together now. After they had left the office, he had just noticed Knox and Fred when Rupert mentioned that they had a problem. Fred certainly did not look like she was happy, whatever was going on, so he followed Rupert over, ready to help protect his friend if need be.Although it turned out that Rupert was more than willing to protect her as well, knocking Knox to the floor when he tried to touch Fred. Wesley immediately put himself between her and the stunned git."Fred, what's going on?" he asked."He...we...he wanted us to go out for dinner, and I was trying to explain that it had been a long night, and I just wanted to go home," she told him."And he wasn't talking no for an answer?" Wesley growled. Fred shook her head. Leaning down, he grabbed Knox and pulled him up against the wall. "I'm not sure what level of hell you've come from, Knox, but when a lady says no, that pretty much means she's not interested. And it's certainly not an invitation to touch her.""But she--.""I what, Knox?" Fred asked, crossing her arms. "I thought I remember telling you that I wasn't interested back a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I should see about getting you transferred to another department."Wesley gave Knox a shove back to the floor. "Stay away from her, Knox. Rupert and I aren't very forgiving when people don't listen to our friends." He took Rupert's hand. "Fred, would you like a lift home?""Please."He nodded. "We'll drop you off on the way."
Giles stood and watched as Wesley slammed Knox against the wall. It seemed a lot of things had changed with Wesley over the years. He remembered a time when Wesley would get scared dealing with anyone in a physical way. But now - he was different and Giles furrowed his brow, wondering what happened to make him this way. He faintly remembered hearing about Angel kicking Wesley out of the group for a while, but he couldn’t remember why, and almost didn’t feel right.“I’m not scared of you, Wes,” Knox said, standing up. “I would be if I were you,” Giles said before he pushed Knox over. He went to the lift with Fred and Wesley and rode it down to the garage. “He didn’t hurt you, did he, Fred?”“I’m fine. He’s just…he’s been bugging me for weeks now. He even called me a goddess once. Spike was in the lab when it happened, and I’m he would’ve hit Knox if he could,” she said as she got into Wesley’s car.Giles shook his head and got into the front seat of the car. Perhaps he should teach Knox an extended lesson about manners.
"Too bad Spike couldn't have," Wesley muttered as he slid behind the wheel of his Jeep. He didn't like the incoporeal vampire that much, but when it came to Fred, help from him was certainly preferable to Knox treating her the way he had been. "Sorry, Fred - I always did have a bad feeling about the little git.""I know," she said with a sigh, resting her head back against the seat. "Guess I should've know when he hacked into my cell phone. I definitely think he's been at that place too long."The rest of the drive to Fred's apartment building was made in silence. When they pulled up out front, Wesley put the car in park and turned to look at his friend. "You going to be all right tonight?"She nodded. "I think I'm just going to take a long bath and then head to bed. Thanks for your help...with Lorne and Knox." Leaning forward, she kissed Wesley's forehead then turned and kissed Rupert's as well. "Night, you two. Enjoy yourselves."As they waited to make sure Fred got inside all right, Wesley looked over at his lover and gave him a smile, reaching over to squeeze his hand. "I'd say we intend to."When she had disappeared, Wesley headed for his own apartment building, which wasn't too far from Fred's. Once they had parked and were heading upstairs in the lift, Wesley grabbed Rupert and kissed him hard."Sorry...been wanting to do that for a while now."
"Goodnight, Fred," Giles said as she got out of the car. He watched to make sure she got inside her house all right before turning to look at Wesley. "I agree, love," he said. When they finally got back to Wesley's building, Giles grinned. He had plans for them once they got inside of the flat. It'd been much too long since he'd touched his lover. When they got onto the lift, Giles stumbled a little when Wesley grabbed him and kissed him. It was nice but it ended much too soon. "It's been too long since I've touched you," he said as his hand traced over the crotch of Wesley's trousers. The door of the lift opened and Giles pulled Wesley out and took him to the door of the flat.Once the door was unlocked and they were inside, Giles closed and locked the door again. He then grabbed Wesley's shirt and pressed him against the wall. He kissed him had as he undid his lover's trousers. "Do you want a shag, or massage first?" he asked as he nibbled on Wesley's neck, his hand sliding into the other man's boxers.
